Short biography
From 1935, Banham had a wide ranging career. She worked first in nursing in Margate, Oxford, then in the Civil Nursing Reserve, and then in Cornwall. She then began working on studies into deprivation and disability with Cornwall Council. Her autobiographical book Snapshots In Time describes her career in health care before the Second World War, as a manager and administrator in the National Health Service, and as a board director and consultant.
