Kavounas is a poet, born in New York of Greek parents. She has lived in London but permanently settled in Coverack, Cornwall.
Full biography
She is married to the British historian and novelist Frederick Taylor and lectures at Falmouth College of Art as the head of script writing.
With John Kennedy, she created a 'poetry-in-place' app, called 'Words in Air.' She is a Trusted Friend Council of Hypatia Trust. An archive box of material related to her is held in the collections of the Hypatia Trust.
