Bevan was the director of the Penlee House Museum and Art Gallery from 1999-2013.
Full biography
Graduating in Art History from Nottingham University in 1986, she spent 14 years working for public galleries in Wales, most recently at the Glynn Vivian Art Gallery, before taking up the post at Penlee House. During her time in Cornwall, she became an expert on Newlyn School paintings, on which she has written and has lectured in the UK, USA and France, including at the Malvern and Daphne Du Maurier Festivals and the Celtic Congress.
