Özakin is a Turkish-British novelist and playwright.
Full biography
She has written and been published in English, French, German, and Turkish. She studied French in Ankara and in Paris and worked as a lecturer in Istanbul. She left Turkey three months after the 1980 Turkish military coup.
She moved to Cornwall in 1988, where she married her then husband, Bryan Ingham. They lived there until their separation in 1994, and Özakın has resided in England since. She has also published under the names Ada, Anna, or Ana Ingham.
