Short biography
The granddaughter of William Fiennes, the 1st Viscount Saye and Sele, Fiennes was an English traveller and diarist. Between 1682 - 1692, at a time when travel for its own sake was highly unusual, especially for an unaccompanied woman, she travelled across most of England and Scotland with her servants.
