Clare Waters was a painter and writer. Waters was a Forbes School student in 1907 who introduced Alfred Munnings to Cornwall in 1908.
Full biography
She was especially friendly with the girls lodging at Myrtle Cottage (the ‘Myrtage’) in Newlyn. When her story A Penny for the Guy was published in 1945, it was Dod Shaw Procter, one of the Myrtage set, who illustrated it for her.
