Frances Bellerby ( - )
Short biography

A novelist and poet. Born in Bristol, she spent a large part of her time from early childhood in Cornwall, living there permanently from 1934. Although she authored a novel, Hath the Rain a Father (1947), and two books of short stories, Come to An End (1939) and The Acorn and the Cup (1947), she preferred to work entirely at her poetry. Her first volume of poems, Plash Mill, was named after her home at Upton Cross, Callington, and appeared in 1947. All of her books are published by Peter Davies, Ltd. except Come to an End, published by Methuen.
