Short biography

Irina Platanov married Derek Wragge Morley, an entomologist, in 1943. Whilst living in the Russell's Cambridge house, Grosvenor Lodge, in 1946, her husband embarked on an affair with Patricia 'Peter' Russell, whilst Irina did the same with Bertrand Russell.

Though these affairs were short lived and the Morley's separated in the same year, Irina retained a warm friendship with Russell through their lives. She moved to Penzance and married L.H. Strickland.

She published letters between herself and Russell for private circulation through the Penzance based Triton Press. She also authored a two volume autobiography.
