An author, illustrator, and painter, Jean Tangye married Derek Tangye, an author, and moved to Cornwall in 1949.
Full biography
Jean Tangye worked at The Savoy Hotel and authored an autobiographical account of her time there as well as several fictionalised accounts. She illustrated Derek Tangye's books The Minack Chronicles, which detailed their life in Cornwall.
