Short biography
Born Jean Innes, Saunders was a prolific author of romance novels. She lived in the West Country for most of her life and was the chairman of the Romantic Novelists' Association between 1993-1995, as well as a member of the Romance Writers of America, the Crime Writers' Association and the West Country Writers' Association.
Full biography
She was also a magazine writer and published around 600 short stories. Many of her novels were set in Cornwall, particularly her Cornish Clay Saga, published under the pen-name Rowena Summers.
