An artist, illustrator, and writer. Attwell was born in London and later lived at 3 St. Fimbarrus Terrace, Fowey, where she died. She illustrated Charles Kingsley's The Water Babies, Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland, and Mabel Lucie Attwell's Annual 1922-1962.
