Short biography
Marion Howard Spring was a writer and wife of the novelist Howard Spring, who she married in 1920. The couple moved to Cornwall in 1939, settling in where Marion's father had a house.
Full biography
Spring had introduced her husband to Cornwall, as she had spent her childhood holidays there. They moved to Falmouth in 1947. She authored two of her own memoirs and one of her life with her husband. She was a keen gardener and there is a flower named after her: the Primula auricula 'Marion Howard Spring'.
