Short biography
A sculptor and ceramicist, Allen lived and worked in Marazion, where she had a ceramics studio and showroom. Her work focused on classical and cultural themes primarily referencing feminism and her love of animals.
Full biography
For the Jamieson Library at Newmill, the original home of the collections of the Hypatia Trust, Allen created a wall mural in sculpted stoneware tiles of Hypatia of Alexandria in her chariot being driven through the marketplace. An archive of her personal writings can be found in the collections of the Hypatia Trust. In 2006, she moved with husband, Stephen Allen, to live in Yorkshire.
