A writer and friend of Dorothy Richardson. Much of her 1935 novel Destructions Reach was written in the home of the Williams family of Cadgwith, Cornwall.
Full biography
An admirer of Dorothy Richardson, Marrian was introduced to her in 1920 and they continued a friendship and correspondence through their lives.
Marrian’s first novel was Under This Tree, 1934, her second, Destruction’s Reach, 1935. She lived for several years in Hungary but returned to spend the war years in London. After 1945 she largely abandoned a literary career and became traveling secretary to the British Sailor’s Society.
