Sarah Eliza Tonkin ( 1831 - )

Sarah Eliza Tonkin was a poet. She was the daughter of James Jones of Ludlow, born in Manchester. She married Joseph Tonkin (d1882) of Buryan, Cornwall in 1855. Tonkin was a member of the Manchester Field-Naturalists and Archaeologists’ Society and authored Rostherne Mere, and other Poems, published in 1886, and contributed to a number of Cornish periodicals.
