Short biography
Kantaris was a British-Australian poet based in Cornwall. She taught French in Australia for ten years, whilst studying for her MA and PhD on French Surrealism, before moving to Cornwall.
Full biography
From 1971 she lived in Helston, teaching as well as writing and publishing her poetry. Some of her poems have Cornish themes and she was chosen as Cornwall's first 'Writer in the Community' in 1986. She contributed several poems to the South West Review between 1979-1984. She in Cornwall until her death in 2021.
